Spring Spiker
I surprised this young Red Stag early one morning when he was far from cover and enjoying the spring flush eagerly sought after winters hardships. I like the unusual composition of this shot. It was taken from the top of a mountain looking directly down into the valley below and yet it looks like the complete opposite. Regardless, I was an unwelcome intruder and he vacated immediately.
